Furs
Next we'll consider the Furs.
Furs are traditionally reserved for persons of high rank and royalty; however, whatever your reason for requesting one, we're happy to oblige.
Below are the traditional options, but you'll find that we are happy to accommodate any combination.
Be aware that, upon submission, any changes to or from a Fur will incur a small fee. Please be sure of what you want before selecting a Fur.
These stylized Ermines are only a small selection of styles available. More will be on display at a later date.
In the mean time, check out
Khevron's list
and feel free to tell us which one of his you'd like used.

Diapering
Finally, we'll take a look at "Diapering," which is distinct from Furs which are subject to strict rules.
According to "A Guide to Heraldry" by Ottfried Neubecker, "to add an air of luxury to the execution, the single color of a field may be patterned or 'diapered,' and this is not mentioned in the blazon since the pattern remains a matter for the discretion of the artist. Diapering was also used to enliven the flat surface of armorial shields."
To get an idea of what Diapering is, think of repeated patterns such as a plaid or argyle, or of a decorative floral pattern.

Please research and know what you are choosing before pressing the "Submit" button. You will be charged extra for a change to or from a Diaper.
Final questions on Tinctures
Choose One
*
I want my chosen Metal as the base
I want my chosen Color/Stain as the base
I want my chosen Fur as the base
I give you, the designer, full creative freedom
Would you like your CoA Diapered?
*
I am interested in Diapering (Base only) and am willing to pay the extra fee
I am interested in Diapering (all flat Tinctures) and am willing to pay the extra fee
I am not interested in Diapering
I will make this decision later with the understanding that the there will be an additional fee if I choose to add the Diapering at that time
Note: Diapering would affect hatching in a potentially negative way. We do not recommend combining them.
How do you want your Tinctures represented?
*

Hatched (black & white)*
Tinctured Hatching**
* Hatching is recommended if you intend to take advantage of our special offer involving our associates over at
Caledonian Custom Laser
. Ask for details.
** Tinctured Hatching really serves no purpose other than a stylized variation for artistic expression. It's available, but not recommended.
Note: you will be charged extra to change this answer after the design is completed.
